Any word on Empire Builder detour routes?
I couldn't find anything re a detour, it sounds like the eastbound and westbound trains were just held for a number of hours until the tracks were cleared and then set out on their normal route.
On July 4th both #7 and #8 detoured over BNSF from La Crosse to Chicago. On the 5th #8 again used the detour route over BNSF. Number 7 departed Chicago late got stabbed at A2 by a failed Metra train blocking the Interlocking arrived at Milwaukee 2 hours 13 minutes late, and was cleared through the site of the derailment.
