Think outside the box
Posted by Mookie on Thursday, January 27, 2005 6:34 AM
We have been fussing over the new look of the BNSF. We have even discussed mergers bNSf. But sometimes you have to go outside the box and talk to just an observer.

Driver thinks if BNSF merges one more time, we will have to go with the lettering "BNSFaao".

Anyone want to hazard a guess?

Perhaps if BNSF merges with NS they will use the old initials N&W but change the meaning to Norfolk and Wherever.

If these Class One railways keep merging, then eventually we'll just have Railway East and Railway West.

That's exactly what they're trying to do, MACGUY, as long as the NTSB or whoever 'regulates' that sort of thing, lets them get away with it.

The question is: can they qualify for the "fast freight" part?
