The International Association of Machinists, the Transportation Communications Union, and the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen have reached a tentative agreement with the National Carriers Conference Committee.

From news reports the agreements seem to be in line with the PEB recommendations.

Statements from the trainmen's union president don't make me optimistic that they or the BLE&T will come to an agreement.  I do think with 3 unions coming to an agreement will give congress a pattern to follow when they impose something.  Makes it easy for them and less likely that they will get "creative" when trying to craft an agreement to impose.

Reaching an agreement is one thing.  Getting the membership to ratify it is another.
