Hi Ian,
I live in Dartmouth Nova Scotia, and while I haven't been able to get out railfanning much I know that Windsor Junction sees all the traffic from halifax and dartmouth, including VIA rails Ocean. I'm not sure of frequency tho. In halifax and dartmouth there are several yards, Rockingham yard lies on the bedford highway between bedford and halifax and is on the waterfront (which i think is pretty cool), as does a smaller yard on the dartmouth waterfront. The dartmouth yard see's some switching most days and is normally tended by two pairs of locomotives. I'd love more information about this yard too, as the only time i chased the train from dartmouth to the auto-loading dock, i discovered that i hadn't loaded the camera with film "after" I'd taken some wonderful shots!
anyway, hope that helps
Graham
