Started up in a Campground west of Colfax, but has already burned north taking out houses along Rollins lake near Chicago Park on the Old Nevada Narrow Guage line from Colfax to Nevada City.
Going to be very windy tonight, so expect the fire to grow. There are lots of people living in the path of the fire.
Winds are from the south so the UP is safer than it might be, but all of Colfax is under evac, so UP could lose the Transcon when the winds shift.
