Who's your daddy?
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, January 18, 2005 3:28 PM
[:D] Howdy all! Today is the day that my wife has gone into labor. Soon I will have a son or daughter to care for. I'm actually writing this from the hospital room. Well, I better get next to mom, that petosin is about to kick in. Hope to be reading the forum posts again soon, bye.

Congratulations, and be sure to come back and let us know all the
good particulars: boy, girl, height, weight, hair color (they're not all
born bald). Take care of your brand new addition, and little Mama
too!

Congratulations and good luck. If you are like me, this will be one of the two most rewarding and memorable days of your life (birth of a child and wedding day).

Nate

Contratulations

In honor of the occasion, I hereby dedicate my 1000th post, and will e-mail the star so you can put it above the crib. I am sure it will look better on the baby than on me.

In days to come, it may be hard to leave for work and miss some quality time with the baby. I was thinking. isn't there room in engine cab for a crib, playpen and maybe a changing table?

Is it out, yet?

Perhaps with the birth of nates first, we won't be seeing him on the forum for a good few years [:)]

Right you are, Carl. I would have thought we'd hear some
more BABY news by now. Definitely hope the Mrs.
isn't still in labor. Maybe proud new papa passed out, and
hasn't come to yet?

[;)]Nope, they happened in reverse order from that shown in orginal post, but the original post listed them in order of level of excitement in my life (PLEASE don't tell my better half, she may not understand although I believe she would agree[xx(])

OK, OK
Here we go.... Zachary was born Wednesday morning at 1:31am. Momma was in labor about 12 1/2 hours. The last two hours she spent pushing her guts out, and then out came the little guy. He weighs 8lbs 7oz. He's 21 1/2 inches long, poor momma! We left the hospital this afternoon and are no home trying to establish our new life. Baby is very healthy and has quite the appetite. He also likes to leave me dirty diapers every now and then. I couldn't be happier that everything turned out ok. Momma is going to be resting and feeding and I get to do the rest; it's fun to take care of my wife and sure beats working 3rd shift out in the cold! Well, my next dirty diaper awaits! Thanks for the well wishes and I'll be on the forum later, just not as frequently as many of you have already predicted.
