Readind today's news articals if you didn't see
yet in trains magazine news this might releive
the expetations of a merger. Who needs a merger
when you have two railroads that will coperate
with each other on the first coast to coast hot shot train. There nothing wrong with that.Like to see UP/CSX follow suit.

The railroads have been running joint intermodal trains coast to coast with two railroads for years. This is the first guaranteed service train to run. That is what's new about this train.
The shippers on this train still have to deal with two railroads to handle the freight, unlike truck where one truck line handles the load all the way from Pennsylvania to California.
