Was the Swedish Secret Service at your door? The ABBA police?
Lingonberry patrol?
Miningman, as you see, I deleted a quote and a video. I hope you never have to think another thought about palindromically named pop stars.
Yes sir Wanswheel ..those are 2 very special meatballs! What is striking watching those ABBA videos is that we , all of us, not only used to, but could! get into those form fitting clothes, wear them and look good to boot. My my how things have changed.
Polyester be gone and banished, here comes jogging and stretch pants.
Which is worse?
Your failed presidential candidate pulled off both simultaneously all the time. Someone should study that...could be the why?
It was hard not to sing along or swing along to ABBA, I mean what's to dislike really, but still there was something contrived about the whole thing. They did one tune, very surreal, not like them at all, that I really liked but I'll be darned if I can remember what it was.
My grandmother would have kicked their butts!
But she would have been very gracious about it, she appreciated good efforts and wasn't a gloater.
Firelock76 Being of Italian extraction I'd have to say there's no way Swedish meatballs could compare to my grandmothers! However, I have to give credit where it's due. THIS "Swedish Meatball" was pretty darn good! www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4kE7xURt4M

An interesting Food Competition might be your grandma's Italian meatballs vs Swedish ones vs German ones, called Königsberger Klops which have a cream sauce that uses capers.

One thing that is kind of cool about food dishes is to look and see where they originated via Google. I think the sauce in Swedish Meatballs bears an amazing similarity to the sauce in the Russian dish Beef Stroganoff which is popular in Sweden as well. I wonder if one dish was the inspiration for the other or it's just coincidence.
BTW, if you ever shop at AKEA store they make Swedish Meatballs there and serve them to customers. My brother loves them there.....though I think AKEA could do a better job making them.
Ball bearings- Swedish meat balls, see it's all connected.
Next thing you know there will be Swedish meatball ball bearings made in China being shipped to Belgium via Russia accompanied by ABBA music.

The company was started in 1927 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of SKF, the Swedish ball bearing company.
Firelock76- You can find that episode on U Tube, or a clip when he rolls it through the front door.
Wanswheel- What is it about ABBA that I just could not warm up to?
It has been stated that at one time that ABBA was virtually the entire economy of Sweden.
No dammit, I missed that one! Can't imagine how, I loved that show.
Swedish meatballs roll pretty good too! Maybe Volvo makes them.
Ever see that "Married with Children" episode where Al brings home a giant air conditioner he picked up at an Army surplus store...it is still wrapped up and marked "Rommel". He says " yeah and it's a Kaiser!
I roll? Considering the way this Swedish army band is uniformed and the march they're playing they must be talking about a kaiser roll.

By the way, these guys are GOOD!
BuslistSurprised you didn't read the part that said "Delivery was organised by Changjiu Logistics, HAO Logistics, Far East Land Bridge and DB Cargo, taking 20 days to cover the 9 832 km route via Russia, Belarus, Poland and Germany to the distribution centre at Zeebrugge in Belgium."
The routing is controlled by China as they are marketing it. China has a Northern alternative via Russia that it avoided this time and it took the shortest route through Russia on this second route. China is building or hoping to build a third route that will traverses Iran and avoid transit through Russia entirely. Parts of it are in place. They are missing a link across Afghanistan but have already started on Afghans new rail network via Khzakistan. See map below.

China will pick the route that serves it's National Interests and that might not be the route that is most advantageous to Russia.

Versus 60 days by ship. These are luxury Volvos, made in Volvo's plant in Daqing, China. Far East Land Bridge is a Russian company, part of RZDL, which is part of Russian Railways. The others are Chinese (2) and German.
Firelock76 Volvos made in China? Gustavus Adolphus the Great must be turning over in his grave, at about 1,500 RPM.

Johnny
The Russian railways may be perfectly happy to let the Chinese do all the organizing with their gettting a major portion of the profits by virtue of the mileage on their tracks.
