Return of the Rocky Mountaineer in Seattle!

Spring in Seattle means improving weather, cruise ships, and the return of the Rocky Mountaineer!  This special excursion train runs between Vancouver, BC and Seattle several times during the spring and summer.  May 20, 2017 is the first train of the season.

I noted two Gold Leaf service UltraDome cars in the consist that seemed to be of different heights. Does the Rocky Mountaineer have two different sets of UltraDomes?

So what does the Rocky Mounatner pay BNSF for use of there tracks and what would it for a PRIVATE OPERATOR to do the same on CSX and NS? We need a change in laws to have forced access.

Next time I'm in your neighborhood, I'm staying at your house, whether you want me to or not.

I'm sure there's a tariff for RM to use BNSF tracks, not to mention the very good possibility that there's a BNSF crew on board, unless the RM crew is qualified on that territory.  We pay by the wheel & mile.

CSX is known for not being friendly to such operations.  Can't say one way or the other about NS.
