Good morning,
Congratulations to Joel Wendt, winner of last week's "dark side" challenge!
This week's theme is "commuter trains." Submissions should be sent to trackside@trainsmag.com no latter than 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 1-. For full guidelines, and to see previous Trackside with Trains contests, go to http://trn.trains.com/photos-videos/trackside.
Thank you,
Drew Halverson
Drew, you missed a keystroke. Maybe better to make it March 10, not March 1-.
Just sayin'

This contributor has his share of putting his foot in his mouth on such things …
For others overall …
Interesting trackside theme!
In the Los Angeles area, the Gold Line’s Foothill Extension just started operations, but it seems that is not commuter trains, but light rail. The Perrs Valley Line is pending, but THAT line to Los Angeles definitely qualifies, but is not actually in service yet.
