Missouri - Kansas - Texas Railroad (Katy)

So some of you Katy fans might find this interesting.    In the Dallas area they converted the former Katy Mainline from North of Dallas into the downtown area into a Bike Trail called "The Katy Trail".     I would guess they did the same in Austin, TX.     Now it appears that a restaurantuer has capitalized on the Bike Trail and started a whole restaurant chain with the Katy Logo.       Perhaps if they franchise..............comming soon to a City near you.       Here is a link.

There is also a Katy Trail across Missouri, and even a Katy Freeway in Houston (widest freeway in the world)

Don't forget the town of Katy TX, just west of the Houston metro sprawl.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

KLKC radio at the former Katy hub town of Parsons, KS a couple yrs ago changed its format to classic country tunes. They rebranded the station as'Katy country". So its fair to say Miss Katy is on the air.

16 lanes from IH 610 Loop West to State Highway 6.
And it is already over crowded.

Agreed, the auto mentality run amok, a clear case for mass transit.
