A (partial) changing of the guard for the Forums
Posted by Steve Sweeney on Monday, August 17, 2015 1:34 PM

Hi, Trains Nation!

For the better part of the last two years, Angela and I have tagged-teamed as forum moderators, to our delight. Starting Sept. 1, Ang will have a new side-kick on the Forums: Brian Schmidt, Trains assistant editor.

Brian and I are switching roles at Trains and he is taking over much of the website and feature work that I've been doing, including answering questions from the Forums.

His official bio is here: http://trn.trains.com/magazine/meet-the-staff

So, the next time you see Brian online, please give him a warm welcome and say, "Hello."

All the best,

Steve S.

Welcome Brian. I hope you're adept at herding cats. Wink

Met Brian in person recently.  I think he'll do fine.

Thank you to Steve and Angela for their grownup, restrained and evenhanded work of the past two years.

That's the easy part; our resident cat doesn't need much herding.  Distract her with a yellow thingie and you'll be OK.

When I first read the initial posting, I read the words "warm welcome" in the last paragraph with an "n" instead of an "m" in 'warm', and at first I thought it funny, then I was a bit insulted, but now I think maybe it would have been correct!

Chocolate cake is faster....

Almost like the Ogden Nash poem:

Candy's dandy, but

Liquor's quicker.

But I agree that chocolate cake is more enticing, though somewhat verboten any more.SadCrying
