If there's one word to describe Zug Island, it's "industrial." As you'll note, there are/were steel mills an a coke plant there.
What I remember of it when passing on the "Boblo Boats" was a lot of grimey black... That even shows up on satellite photos: N 42.28650 W 83.11053.
