How about a topic where you can talk about what you would like to see in the form of a gif file.

I would like to see an EJ&E engine.

I can see why none of your photos work... you took the location on the hard drive at which they are at. You'll first have to upload your photos to host. Try railimages.com or geocities.com. I think geocities.com allows direct image linking now.

Wha? True, I can't see the signature images, but I can see the EJ&E image clearly. I will take your advice, but I can't see how my Windows 98 can see the pictures and other people can't see it. What type of a computer do you have? If it is a Windows, what version is it?[?][?]

It will show up for you, but not for us (I've already learned the hard way).

it can be seen on your pc, because that file exists in YOUR My documents (pc). we dont have it so our computers look for a non-existant file in OUR My Doucuments.

basicly just have a web server host it and use the Http:// link.

I am very big in to "gifs". Check out the links in my signature for a few of the railroads I have created gifs for. I have created the EJE SD38-2's as well. My Wisconsin Central collection is very large as well as my Canadian National. Check them out! Plus many more not listed...look around for Dave Howarth...those are mine.

I have a question regarding the use of theere gifs on a website like Geocities, It says that you cannot use the gif on a page that has ads, so wat about geocities where they just put those POS yahoo ads in there anyway?

Actually, I posted this picture from my desktop. So I am sorry. But, when I was on my dads 2000 computer, I couldn't see the picture either. I guess it depends on what PC you are using.

Well, yes, because that photo is on that computer and that computer only. We can't download the image straight from your computer to ours. As I said before, you'll have to find someone to host your image(s).

Let me attempt to explain this a different way. Imagine that your computer is a garage. You have a car in your garage that represents the image. No one can see your car until you either let them in your garage or back the car out of the garage. On the Internet, it does no good to let everyone in to your garage, nor can people reach your garage anyway. You have to take the car out and drive it around. By this, I mean upload the picture to a server that you can link the image to.

As a matter of courtesy, keep images you have in your signature SMALL. They should take up no more than about 1/4 of your screen. Huge photos take time to load and have to be loaded each time the page is loaded.

Here is the link to the EJE SD38-2's I did up, minus the J on the nose. I did the new paint job with the chevron stripes on the nose. I could do The J on the nose, just give me some time and I will git-r-done.

Also, if anyone has any requests to have gifs made, let me know and if you have a picture, post it as well so I have an idea what it should look like. I almost have every model available for repaint.

Sorry for the blind pictures before. Can you make a scenery for the EJ&E engines. Plus on your Union Pacific lost, I see you have the United Way engine. Is that engine operational?

Are you talking about making a EJE scene? With moving trains and trees and crossings? The links seem not to be working at the time. I will try again later.

Making scenes takes some time and planning. The UP United Way engine is on the site under UP.

If I were to make a scene...which I have never done before...its been strictly gifs for me, it would take a while but it would be nice when all finished.

I think it is a good idea, I have not seen a scene from this area yet.

This is a picture I took on a very lucky day. The third engine is an EJ&E SW1200. Anyway, this is the junction with the tower. If you or someone else were to make this scenery, make the EJ&E track be the one in the distance please.[:)]
