First privat long distance train launched in germa

The private Connex group starts the first german long distance train, which is not operated by german railway. The "Inter-Connex", which rides between Gera and Rostock, constist of two rebuilt commuter diesel railcars and has two classes: traveller and buisness. In the buisness class,you pay a little bit more than in traveller, but get service like in airplanes: meals, drinks and newspapers on place. The full ride is only half so expensive like on german railway trains, which has only commuters in use on this line. At the moment there are two trains per day on this line. If the train rides succesful, Connex wants to intruduce other lines, for example Dresden - Cologne.

Connex is very interested in operating trains in the USA I think they are partially owned by SNCF which is owned by the French Government. It would be funny if some of the Amtrak trains switch from being operated by the U.S. Government to the French Government. Connex also operates trains in the U.K and Austrailia. I think if you run arractive trains, with realistic work rules, and employee salaries, you can make money.
