DuPont Safety Train and CN 911 tank car headed West on CN South Bend subdivision

Today after 8:00 P.M. a CN/GTW local freight train pulled by GTW 5932, an SD40-2 diesel locomotive, stopped at the Harborlite Perlite processing plant in Vicksburg, Michigan. This is the CN/GTW South Bend Subdivision.

After the crew had picked-up the ACFX ACF CENTER FLOW 3-bay covered hopper and filled the air in the brake system, they headed West towards Schoolcraft, Michigan.

At the end were the DuPont Norfolk Southern Safety Train Caboose, Plug-Door Box Car, and tank car all with DUPX reporting marks. At the end of the train was the CANADIAN NATIONAL CN 911 safety training tank car.

If you are near the CN/GTW tracks between South Bend, Indiana to Chicago, Illinois watch for the DuPont Safety Train and the CN 911 tank car to be on a spur or a siding.

See if you can take clear photos.

CSX's 8 car Safety Train has been making the rounds to educate Emergency Personnel in the things they need to know about rail cars in emergency situations.  Most recently was in Garrett, IN.  Don't know what the next stop is.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

Yesterday afternoon I saw a sign at CSX's Barr Yard (Riverdale, Illinois) pointing to the Safety Train.
