Crude oil issue - Chicago Tribune
Posted by eolafan on Monday, July 14, 2014 10:58 AM
The Chicago Tribune ran an extensive article about citizens becoming nervous about increasing crude oil shipments by rail in the metro Chicago area this morning. I was struck by the reported number of crude oil unit trains reported by the newspaper (I live in Aurora and see many such trains and think their estimate of 30 plus a WEEK is low, I would believe 30 per DAY if they had reported such a number...I estimate the number of LOADS eastbound to be about ten per day plus which would make the weekly total closer to 50 plus). Thought I'd pass this along to everybody. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/ct-oil-trains-met-20140714,0,578303.story
