Recently I had the opportunity to visit the classification yard in Barstow, CA. Amazing place! While there I took a picture of BNSF 1908 with slug BN 65. I find lots of pictures and information on BNSF 1908 and BNSF 265. However, I can't find any information on BN 65. Does anyone know anything about it's history.
Thanks in advance.
Cut down BN 6200 class SD-9 Cadillac. Figures that the CRSD20's and their alligator slugs would all have to go. (Doesn't seem fair to be replaced by BN junk)
Here is a picture of BN 65 working in 2011 - Was it converted to a slug? It is ex-SLSF SW1500.

VMV did rebuild some old SD9's into slugs(TEBC-6) for BNSF....

BNSF 265 was recently renumbered to BN (BNSF?) 65 order to vacate the 200 series for the SD75M/I's being renumbered from the 8200 series to vacate that series for new ES44C4's.
Thanks. I found a little information on the net that pointed me in that direction. Just wasn't sure.
