I am truly surprised there has been no comment here on the announcement that the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers is exploring a merger with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters! I cannot imagine why a union with such a long and honorable history would consider any sort of affiliation with a union so steeped in organized crime, embezzlement, and just general corruption that the federal government had to oversee it.

It's almost as thought Mother Teresa announced she was going into business with Heidi Fliess!

Would the engineer rank and file really vote to join with the truckers rather than their other crewmembers?
