Last night (9/8/13) a man driving recklessly down Interstate 5 here in Southern California lost control of his vehicle near the San Clemente border patrol checkpoint and ended up crashing on the tracks that run along the freeway.  About 10-15 seconds later a southbound Amtrak train hit the vehicle, killing the driver instantly.  Talk about timing...

The wheels of God grind slowly, but they grind exceeding small.

Sometimes, "Slowly," means (slightly) below Mach 1.

I wonder if the train killed the driver, or if the driver was already dead.

My sympathy to the train crew, the first responders, the loco weed's loved ones (if any) and the passengers who were inconvenienced.  As for the deceased - closed coffin funeral, I presume.

Well ,we did have the passenger that survived the plane crash in San Francisco only to be killed by the fire truck that was responding to the crash.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!
