World Talk Radio Trains Program
Posted by StillGrande on Thursday, September 23, 2004 10:06 AM
Apparently there is a trains related talk radio program on internet radio Saturdays 10-Noon. Seems to cover all subjects.

Even Kevin Keefe who is the associate publisist for Trains magazine, was on.

Some of the old programs are also available on the site.

Anybody heard this?

Yes, I first heard about it recently in an email newsletter from trains.com at Kalmbach.

I also signed up for the radio station's email newsletter. Here's the latest one, received today:

Subject: Coming Saturday on Lets Talk Trains
Date: Thu, 23 Sep 2004 16:36:39 -0700

Well, here comes another interesting Lets Talk Trains show. Seems we are not running out of news to talk about. And as if we really needed it, seems a lawsuit has been filed in New York against Amtrak and two Amtrak Police officers. Stay tuned!

We also have additional news on the gentleman in Chicago who got a ticket for sleeping on the train.

What in the world are we coming to here?

Seems UP has announced it is also mounting cameras in their cabs. And there seems to be others 'out there' who believe, like Engineer Richard, that the Sunset Limited seems to be running better since David Gunn announced no more freight.

More good things coming next month also, like Silent Zones, Railroad Radio and a conference coming up for the Train Riders Association of California. And, yes, we will see the Question of the Week shortly.

Don't forget to join C.J. and Richard for this show. Live from 10am to noon pacific time or in the archives 24/7 after the show. Just go to http://letstalktrains.us.

Remember too that there is the webcam you can watch the show live from. Just go to http://www.worldtalkradio.com, go to the bottom of the page and click on the Studio Cam link. The picture will update every :30 seconds so you can see Richard and C.J. in living color!

All aboard!!
