Several years ago I heard a report on a Canadian radio station about a speeding crackdown north of Toronto. The grand prize went to a driver eventually clocked at over 200 kph (in excess of 120 mph) who flashed his headlights at an unmarked patrol car so the cruiser would pull over and let him by...

....It takes all kinds of people to do all that can be done but it's good these two were slowed a bit, at least on the public highway. Most and many of us have vehicles that will go too fast for highway conditions but most use them with more sense or we'd all be in real trouble trying to use our public highways.

Jim

Are you sure the professional protective gear wasn't actually an unbuckled straight jacket??

On September 21st Minnesota State Troopers stopped a pair of motorcycle riders for speeding. Most likely a normal daily occurance, however, one of the riders had been clocked at 205 mph. One officer, piloting a State Patrol airplane, clocked both riders speeding with one leaving the other "in his dust". This ticket is most likely the "fastest" speeding ticket ever written in the state. The next closest was for doing 150 mph. It was noted that the driver was arrested for speeding and that he was wearing the kind of protective gear professional motorcycle racers wear. I look forward to Honda's new claim to fame (and most likely new commerical talking about the bike's unlimited speed) as the rider was riding a Honda 1000.

LC, don't try this at home, and certainly not in the loco. [;)]
