I caught a glimpse today of ARMN 170000, the first of 225 new mechanical refrigerator cars ordered by UP. These cars are about eight feet longer than the "old" 110000-series reefers, and the doors are four inches taller (even though the height of the car is the same). Instead of blue excess-height areas on the ends, these cars have black bands. I did not catch the builder, date, or railroad class on this car (moving target and all).
