Why did these threads stop in 2007? Are people no longer interested in this site or other reasons. The fact is - here we are almost 2013 and nothing has changed. Could that be the reason why no new threads? Just gave up - no change, why rant on? Just askin'

Don't know what threads you are talking about here. But, yeah, sometimes a thread will wear itself out and die in a clump in some forum corner. All was said that had to be said or could be said at the time. So what? Other times the same information, topic, etc. have moved on to another page or forum or topic. Maybe it was answered or it was decided it could't ever be answered. The participants died or went to sleep or just went away or a different way. No big deal. And if is is a big enough deal, it will come back. If you think any forum or thread should be addressed today, why don't you bring it up and see who and how many salute?
RIDEWITHMEHENRY is the name for our almost monthly day of riding trains and transit in either the NYCity or Philadelphia areas including all commuter lines, Amtrak, subways, light rail and trolleys, bus and ferries when warranted. No fees, just let us know you want to join the ride and pay your fares. Ask to be on our email list or find us on FB as RIDEWITHMEHENRY (all caps) to get descriptions of each outing.
So true. I thought the Michigan car ferry thread had run its course and a few days ago it came roaring back to life, so you never know.
Huh?
It's been fun. But it isn't much fun anymore. Signing off for now.
The opinions expressed here represent my own and not those of my employer, any other railroad, company, or person.t fun any

Is it possible that he has his settings such that the oldest threads are listed first?
Whatever the problem may be, it seems strange that the OP would join the forums and this becomes his first post within minutes of joining the forum.
I think that we need to hear back from the OP with some clarification of what he is talking about.

BC, one thing that surprised me when I first read the OP's post is that it was his first post and had to be moderated. Why would the moderators even let such a remark get posted?
There is nothing offensive about it, but it is so curious that it seems odd to let it be posted on the forum.

Just as another example, my General Electric Locomotive thread went dead a while back, then interest picked back up again for a little while just recently.

There is, of course, the possibility that the post was a prank, particularly since the OP has failed to return to explain his remarks.

Or perhaps we need a post about what happens when rail crews run out of hours.
