Where do you go to see online maps showing RR lines?
Modeling the "Fargo Area Rapid Transit" in O scale 3 rail.
Most state's Department of Transportation have a web site that includes a map of railroads within that state. If I am interested in a state I consult those, and in a lot of cases have downloaded the map against some future need. Unfortunately, in many cases the maps contain very little detail.
If you have the patience to figure out the interface, the Federal Railroad Administration has some GIS maps online: http://fragis.frasafety.net/GISFRASafety/default.aspx

That FRA map is quite the powerful tool.
Thanks for the link.
