Another, actually two repurposed box cars circa 1950 in Taylor Ridge Illinois. The Rock Island Southern had recently closed this line. Uncle Fred bought the insulated cars and trucked them to this site. He built this house, using the cars for load bearing walls.
Abandoned in Texas, I think.
Repurposed in New Mexico.
I took this photo out past the NV Energy Tracy Clark Power station off Waltham Way East of Reno/Sparks NV.
