I just bet you are confused as to why your message didn't show up!  I think I have a fix for you.

I suspect you are running MS Internet Explorer 8 or 9 and you need to put it into "Compatibility Mode".  There are a couple of way to do this.  You only need to do it once for any one web site (like all of Trains dot com)

At the top of the IE window are three square icons just to the right of the Address text box (where it shows: "https: / / cd . trains . com / blah blah blah....")  The last one is a red "X" (stop), the middle one is two "chassing arrows" (refresh) and the left one is supposed to look like a piece of paper ripped in half across the middle (looks like 2 mountain ranges to me)  Click once on that icon and the page will refresh and the icon will take on a greenish cast.  The web site will now be treated in Compatibilty mode and your postings won't get erased.

Another method is the press and release the "ALT" key (if the menu bar is not showing) and select the "Tools" menu and click on the "Compatibility mode" entry to put a check mark next to it.  This does the same thing as the icon described above.

I hope I have guessed right as to why your posting was empty.  You may also find this helpfull with other web sites and forums.
