Here's the next couple shots in my Classics collection. Like the Clinton shot, I'm still tweaking these, so input is appreciated and encouraged.
Back in 2007, the Ski Train was down an F40 and needed a pinch hitter. Uncle Pete stepped up in a big way with UP 1989, the Rio Grande Heritage Unit. I caught the train a couple of times.
Here's a view at Union Station:

And here's the train west of Arvada as it heads up the Moffat Sub:

WOW!!
Chris, I am constantly amazed at the quality of photography you share with us. Such photos are what I aspire to create. I would venture to say that as far as I am concerned, you are the "Ansel Adams" of 2011 railroad photography.
Can't criticize, but I like the sky colors better on the second shot.

Thanks, as always, everyone for the very kind words!
The second shot looks like it'd make the perfect background for an index or table of contents. Just an awesome shot.
Even though the first one is a good shot, my eyes end up at the utility box on the platform. Also has my pet peeve.. guys that can't be bothered to tuck in the MU cables on the engines. Esp. on a passenger train...c'mon guys.
It's been fun. But it isn't much fun anymore. Signing off for now.
The opinions expressed here represent my own and not those of my employer, any other railroad, company, or person.t fun any
