A few years ago someone posted about the Hardy Street Shops in Houston TX. I finally found my negatives and scanned them in. These pictures are from 1990 0r 1991. Too bad the facility is gone.
Enjoy
Thanks for posting the images. I saw Hardy Street back in '73, quite a bit of rebuild activity going on. The dead line was full of antiques.
Interesting photos, Thanks for sharing them here!
Houston is an amazing town.
I have always been surprised at the amount of railroad activities that seem scattered about the area. Not to mention a particular incident that has left a lasting impression on my psyche.
Nah what was Scary to me was in 91 that the SP was still using SD-9's in Mainline Service. Heck you were lucky if you saw a GP-20 on the ATSF at that time on the mainline. We also did Backflips when on the Rarer than my High School Football team Beating Geneoso we saw a GP7 on the Local.
This was taken a few days later out off of Hempstead highway
