I was recently given this object when my grandpa helped clean out an old concrete signal house for the 940's air compressor.  (Learn more HERE)

It is about an inch and a half by an inch.  As I said, it was found in an old concrete signal building, (in use from the 70's to the 90's I believe) screwed onto a board.  It appears to be made of a compressed rubber material. The lettering is also stamped, not raised or printed.  That is all I really know.

If anyone has any ideas of what this was used for that would be great!  IWho knows, it might not even be railroad related.Oops - Sign Thanks!

The timbers beneath the rails are not the only ties that bind on the railroad.
