Trains March 03 page 14, tunnel in Mn?

I think you can count all the Minnesota RR tunnels on one hand. Where is the one pictured on page 14?

Boyd,

  I do not have that issue handy.  But - I know there was a tunnel on the DW&P as they dropped down to Duluth.  Also, the SOO had a tunnel in Duluth that led to their Duluth passenger station.  In St Paul, there was a series of man-made tunnels where the SOO & NP went under the GN/CMO in the Westminister St  area.

That's Cramer Tunnel on the old LTV Steel route. At 1800 feet, It is the longest railroad tunnel in MInnesota. It's not too far east of Taconite Harbor on Lake Superior.

Oops! I meant WEST of Taconite Harbor. If you went east, you'd be swimming in Lake Superior!

Is that RR line still there? I found it on google earth and I can't see tracks but can see the ROW. As you go west I think I can see where a tunnel is and that line has a lot of half loop curves in it.
