Last night I spyed the first BNSF power I've ever seen on the old Wabash. Two shinny looking dash 9's in the orange-brown color scheme.

But the "B.N.S.F." painted on the side on the first loco was in a dark color, in what seemed like a plain font while on the second the same letters were yellow, in a "fancy" font, using "tailed" characters.

Why the dif? is this a 'period' edition type thing?

Be nice to see a red and silver SF warbonnet on this line , but that probably isn't gonna happen, huh? Guessing they only let the newly painted stuff go out on contract?
