Norfolk and Southern Carman's Helper

On NPR "All Things Considered" today was a "Summer Story" called "Big Iron," by and about a man remembering his summer job as a carman's helper on the Norfolk and Southern RR apparently in Cleveland.  Here is the URL:

The railroad, I think, was probably the Norfolk and Western RR, While the Southern Railway with which the two roads combined operations in 1982.      Finally merged as a Corporate entity in 1997, as the Norfolk Southern Railroad.
