"Twelve people were killed and 14 others were injured after a train hit a group of young revellers crossing tracks instead of using an underpass in Spain, local media said."

My heart goes out to the families affected by the accident, but as has been said before... Well... you can't fix stupid.Sad

Typical mentality of the young. (We all had it.)

It was a party. Nothing BAD ever happens at a party.

Here is a link with all the details:

Apparently there was an overpass that was closed, but people tried to cross it.  There was also an underpass tunnel that was jammed full of people, and there was direct route across the tracks, but signs or other indicators telling people not to cross the tracks.

Do you think a sign would have stopped them? Signs don't work in this country.

I don't know how the signs figured into this accident.  It would be interesting to learn just how the whole thing played out.  It seems like a lot of factors led to the perfect storm of tragedy.
