A KCS GP38 has been repainted into the Belle. I think this is the first non-ECO rebuilt GP that has been repainted into KCS's new scheme. Could maybe have been repainted here, and awaiting a decision to use it in this country or send it South ( to be used in Mexico?) and to possibly be lettered there?
Recall the gray painted NS units from GE that ran for extended periods while in their primer coats?
Might have needed this before it was sent to the lettering shop?
