Bombardier wins Swiss bidding for 125mph tilting bi-levels

SBB has awarded Bombardier the order for 59 new Bi-level tilting EMUs, for InterCity services. These trainsets will first enter service on the St. Gallen - Zürich - Berne - Geneve route. The specifications require the units to be capable of 200kph (125mph). The order is worth 1.9 billion Swiss Francs or $1.7 billion US.
