I don't know what to say. These are by far some of the best photos I have ever seen. EXCELLENT photography, as well as even better interpretation of the theme!

I was expecting to see many more "literal" bridge shots, but I'm glad there were so many other figurative ideas, some that I never would have thought of.

It seems Runner-Up Eric Williams and I had the same idea, which, it seems, for both of us, was the first thing that came to mind. However, rather than the gap itself, my idea was the bridge plates, which are metal plates used to bridge said gap. His shot was much more original (and came out much better) than mine (the bridge plate is located in the black box in the lower right, and is located at every high-level platform):
