Canadian Pacific Rail Line West of Saskatoon
Posted by Doc Murdock on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 1:14 PM

I lived in Saskatoon for many years never far away from the Canadian Pacific Line that cut through the west part of that city. Back in the early 80's there were usually 3 trains going to Edmonton, sometimes a 4th one and 2 from Edmonton, on rare days a 3rd one. Since the late 80's the service was cut, I believe, to one freight each way along with the 2 potash runs to the mines just west of Saskatoon. When I left there about 5 years ago there was a train with auto carriers and container cars which I thought was the 2nd train to Edmonton. Is there anyone here that can fill me in on what rail traffic is like on the Saskatoon to Edmonton run these days?
