Great Steam Action
Posted by spikejones52002 on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 12:33 PM

T.C.M. aired a French Movie , "La Bete Humaine" (The Human Beast).

It had a lot of GREAT Steam Engine action. Some yard movements. One scene though there was a tandem railbus that looked out of place for the period presented. I did not catch the date presented but It was a pre WWII and I think post WWI.
The Movie was SO_SO but the rail action keep me watching.

One scene  really caught my attention. The Engineer stopped his train because of a bad driver wheel bearing. He disconnected from the train and took the engine to the local repair shop. The shop master told the fireman that he might have to pay for the repair because of  probably due to poor service by him.
