This is what I saw go through Berea Ohio August 13th, 2009.
Berea Trains Thursday 8/13/09 11:35AM – 1:10PM
1. 11:55AM CSX West Track 1 / CSX Freight / Q377 / 45 Cars - CSX C40-8W #7829, CR C40-8W #7343, CSX C40-8 #7632, UP SD70Ace #8554, UP SD70M #3845 – 30-35 MPH.
2. 12:07PM NS East Track 2 / NS Intermodal / Unknown # Cars – NS C40-9W #9280, NS C40-9W #9295 – 35-40 MPH.
3. 12:25PM CSX West Track 1 / CSX Intermodal / Q113 Boston MA to Chicago Global 1 Tue-Sat / 59 Cars / CSX ES44DC #5363 – 25-30 MPH
4. 1:07PM CSX East Track 2 / UP Freight / Q390 UP Proviso IL to Selkirk NY Daily / 117 Cars – UP SD70M #4295, UP SD70M #4339 – 40-45 MPH.
Moved On To Olmsted Falls 1:40PM – 2:12PM
5. 1:50PM NS East Track 2 / NS Intermodal / 84 Cars - NS C40-9W #9432, NS C40-9W #9967 – 45-50 MPH.
6. 1:56PM NS East Siding / NS Coal NORX / Unknown # Cars – NS C40-9W #9354, NS C40-9W #9542, NS SD60I #6739 – 8-10 MPH.
7. 2:05PM NS East Track 2 / NS Intermodal / 47 Cars – NS C40-9W #9866, NS SD70M #2648 – 45-50 MPH.
As we were coming into Berea at 11:33AM we just missed CSX Q091 the UP Reefer Train going Westbound on Track 1. All I saw was the last 5 to 10 cars on the train. I knew it was Q091 because the engineer of the train said it was Q091. At least I saw Q377 and Q390 with UP on them. As the tail of Q390 was going over whats left of Front Street a Rail Train was parked up on Front Street crossing itself on CSX Main Track 2 Westbound with no lights on and the Engineer and Conductor getting out of the engine. They sat there for more then 2 hours that I know of because we left Berea at 1:10PM but came back through Berea after Olmsted Falls about 2 hours later from being at Berea the previous time and that Rail Train was still sitting there along with Q108 going through at the time we were going through at 2:20PM heading Eastbound on Track 2 of the CSX Main. Does anybody know about why the Rail Train was stopped there?
