Chili sounds like a winner - need some good home-made bread for dunking, etc, to go with it!

Moo, I can just imagine that, handing out braille menus to the hearing impaired! At
least they laughed, and weren't insulted!

What's on today's menu for dinner/supper? How about a big ole pot of chili? Sounds
good to me: what do you say?

Have you noticed....and I do it too, so I am guilty.....you have a 3-4 page menu and you close it after you decide, then when the wait person takes your order, you have to open the menu, find the item and point to it so they will know (trust me, they already know)
or if you are playing the host/hostess and you seat a group of hearing impaired people and give them braille menus? (saw it happen)! Had the whole table in fits of laughter!

Of course, none of these would happen here:

The Restaurant Chronicles
"How much is the $1.99 popcorn chicken?"
"Don't you guys have them 99 cent Whoppers?" -- Asked of a Taco Bell cashier.
"How many pieces are in the eight piece chicken deal?"
"What's the difference?" -- Asked of a waitress when asked if the customer would like breadsticks with or without cheese.
"Do you get rice with your fried rice?"
"Our whipped butter is made with margarine." -- On a menu.
"Excuse me. These ham and cheese rolls -- do they have ham in them?" -- A customer at a bakery cafe.

Yeah, I'll be going to the store in a little bit. May get some grapes if they have some
nice looking ones. Think I'll even get some strawberry cheesecake. Doesn't that
sound delicious?!?!

Now, what can we have for supper????

They're good too, espeefoamer. When I worked at KMart, every Friday morning at our
meetings, we had Krispy Kreme doughnuts. The favorites were the chocolate
covered ones with cream filling. Sounds good anytime of the day, doesn't it?

And speaking of doughnuts, anybody else see the ads to the right of the
Depot Diner & Coffee Shop thread? Krispey Kreme and a doughnut fryer ad!!

Okay guys and gals, let's have some suggestions for today's menu.

For breakfast, how about doughnuts (especially chocolate covered doughnuts), and
maybe some caramel pecan rolls, regular glazed doughnuts.

Ouch! I think I felt an artery clogging just reading that. I'll have a caramel pecan roll with my morning tea...[:D]
probably going to start a riot - but can I lick your fingers?

Mook?

Sure that won't clog your arteries[?][:D][}:)]

Mookie, actually your last one, didn't sound half bad, maybe we need
to consider that one.[:p][:)]
