Anytime is nap time in my book.

Think supper will be leftover beef stew. Don't feel up to fixing anything else. Unless
someone else wants to cook something different.

Is it bed time yet? I'm still tired. Give me a glass of milk and one of those slices of pie over there, and then I'm going to go take a nap........

Howdy all, stopping in after my Vacation. You bet i'll take some stew, will go down good for a hungry traveler.

Oh and I belive the Amtrack takeover was '72, that or '75, or maybe '77, I know it was one of those three.........

Well,like I said;I graduated from high school in'68,and started
college that Sept. The C&O Lexington subdivison was still in place
and the Ashland to Louisville section of the "George Washington"
went through Morehead twice a day. Got a couple of decent slides
of it at the Morehead station.

Sloppy Joe's, its sure been a long time...same for me, its been since high school since I had some. Oh, wait, thats only been a few months. Sure seems like a long time.

As for Amtrak, I think it was 1970? I'm most likely wrong, but I do know it was in the 70's and before I was born. Plus Amtrak was almost de-formed while I was in High School.

Mikeygaw, have you heard anything from her, and are she and her brother safe?

Well, I'm finally getting to the diner today, and it's almost one o'clock! Where in the
heck is everybody? Guess everyone's out enjoying this beautiful weather. But
someone needs to be in here to wait on customers who do come in. And the train
layout isn't even turned on!! HORRORS: we can't have that in the Depot Diner and
Coffee Shop.

Okay, since no one's been in yet today to get everything going, the coffee is now on,
and we'll just skip the breakfast items.

Dinner (lunch) menu"

hamburgers
hotdogs
barbeque
sloppy joes
potato chips
2 alarm chili (hot sauce available)
and of course, all the desserts

Right you are, coalminer3. Think I might open a can of tuna and eat it, maybe along
with some cantaloupe.

And locomutt and I are praying for the Floridians. He has a cousin who lives just
west or northwest of Tampa. Am really concerned for them, and for all the others
in Charley's path.

Rainy and cool here in WV- keeping an eye to the south for rain/flooding. I see where Amtrak canned a ton of trains today account Charley.

Chicken or fish for dinner this p.m. - haven't decided yet. Have a good weekend, and to our friends in Florida; hope you come through all of this O.K.

work safe
