Okay, supper will be: leftover tuna melt, leftover angel food cake (locomutt's
birthday cake), fried fish, french fries, salmon patties. Need to get the freezer
cleaned out from all the leftovers. Freezer's getting full. Need to empty
some space so we have room to put the turkeys we'll be roasting for the
upcoming holidays. Okay, come on and say it: I KNOW someone has some
remarks to make about the frozen turkeys in the freezer. Know you do.

Breakfast Bar! It is undress Fri....er, Dress Down Friday! So will celebrate with a breakfast bar - a kind of "it is cooked, do it yourself" breakfast......except I hate to cook, so will have to wait for someone to come in and cook. But got everything ready!

Since I'm running late today, will expand on Mookie's Breakfast Bar.
Along with the biscuits, gravy, sausage, bacon scrambled eggs and oatmeal
on the breakfast bar, we also have homemade bean soup, tomato soup,
clam chowder. Give me a couple of hours to decide the supper menu.

Mookie, thank you for starting the breakfast bar this morning. Also see that
locomutt started the train layouts when he was in.

Quick coffee for me, too. Making last minute preparations for my trip to Albuquerque, NM leaving Chicago on the SW Chief tomorrow.

Mudchicken has already been alerted to get the snow swept off the rails. He, Mark H., tbiery and others have given me a guide to things to look for enroute and info on spots to stop on a side trip to Belen.

For anyone along the route seeing the Chief, fla***he secret Trains.com sign (the one with two or more fingers), I'll have the engineer's cell phone number and will have him respond with "Ode to Railfan on Locomotive Horn" as written by Junctionfan. [8D][8D]

If I have time will stop in for a quick breakfast tomorrow, otherwise will report back in late next week.

Chick...Turkey Broth - that's what you need. (can't use the darn chicken - not politcally correct any more!) - But we have lots of Turkeys here! Take some Turkey Broth with you! CW made it yesterday. I helped with the feathers! It will be just the thing for you!

The only mush I have ever eaten was made with cornmeal out of box, egg and a little milk - make it into a loaf, chill, then slice it not too thick and fry it. Serve warm with honey and a bowl of homemade ham and bean soup...I am slobbering....the rest comes later.....

Larry, you crumble your leftover cornbread into a sauce pan, add milk to
completely cover the cornbread, and you let it cook until the mu***hickens.
Then you spoon it onto your plate, add butter or margarine, salt and
pepper to taste and start eating. If you have a lot of leftover cornbread,
use the dutch oven instead of your largest sauce pan. And you will
need to stir constantly so that the much doesn't stick.

CW - I make a lot of cornbread and always have leftovers. How do you make mush out of it?

Think I'll make some cornbread, let it cool, and make some cornbread
mush. Always good on a cool, rainy day in the autumn and winter time.

Will also have beef stew. Mush, soup, chili and stew are all good for
rainy days. And of course, can't forget the prerequesite fries for Matt.
