Long As Ever.

Highball,

I understand that the economy is currently going through the gauntlet right now. There's no denying that. However, I still believe that the railroads (and other transportation modes) are the true indicators of what's really going on out there (mi2sns). Case in point, the other day..I was out here in Lexington (NS-cno&tp). Here comes Triple-Crown #251 (Sandusky-East Point) headed by 2 dash 9's of course. Get this..150 trailers! Mind you, this was not a double train. 251 is always pretty big. Stackers #215 and #216 have been huge. The manifest have been about average for NS (75-105 or more). Racks seem to be down a bit but grain trains have been smokin' through here for springtime. Point is, the economy may be down, but I follow the trains through here pretty closely and by my observation, things have been about the same, at least on NS here. I know there have been several "economy" themed posts over the months but I just wanted to share this with you guys. Thank you.

Be alert, don't get hurt. (we need more lerts.)
