I am off to see the wizard - or a reasonable facsimile - back Monday or Tuesday - depending on how much fun the wizard and I have watching all those beautiful trains! Ah life just gets better and better - a person that will be able to explain what I am watching. Gonna look for yellow thingies........[:-^]

Actually I think they DID! and thats why they panned this heap of bad cinema history re-write. PBS American Experience did a WAY better history of the Alamo, the long history of the Texas rebellion against Mexico, and still managed to tell the story correctly and accurately.

The Movie is almost the same as every other movie version, innaccurate. If you want to see to real story, PBS is going to rebroadcast the Alamo this coming Monday (4-26-04) at 9 pm, check your local listings for times. (Geez, I sound like a commercial)

BTW the best movie version of Alamo is the '59 John Wayne version, whacked history and all, its still a terrificly fun movie to watch!

I feel sorry for the Disney exec's that green-lighted this film, there cheesy cartoon "Home on the Range" is pulling in more money than the mega-million "The Alamo"

Ouch, thats gotta hurt!

I guess I'm the sucker who had to ask the (obvious, stupid) question(s);

1/ Does "Bergie" ever respond to provocation ?

2/ Who is this "Gerbie" person, anyway ?? -- another member ?? -- subscriber ??
