Getting the call to work at 3:30 AM is about right....

It glossed over having an undesired emergency application of the air brakes on the mountain and having to tie on hand brakes to hold the train while you inspect all 9000 feet of it in 10 degree weather with blowing snow and a wind chill of -15.

It also glosssed over getting a defect detector malfunction and having to inspect you 9000 foot train, in it's entirety on both sides, when the temperature is 96 degrees with humidity to match.

There is so much more to being a conductor than just getting on a train an riding until the final terminal is reached.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!
