Christmas Card from Chris
Posted by CopCarSS on Monday, December 15, 2008 9:47 AM

Hi Gang,

Sorry I haven't been around lately. Life's been busy with work and trips. I did manage to get out shooting the Santa Train yesterday, and will have a photo post on that hopefully later today. Until then, though, I wanted to send out this electronic Christmas Card to you all, though.

This is one of the very few fora that I still try to frequent because I truly enjoy both the discussions and especially the people that frequent this forum. You all mean a lot to me, and I feel privileged to call you all friends.

I wish you all a happy, healthy holiday season and hope you all have a terrific 2009!

See that?  The gave the post a reply, yet it had no views?  What, are you all-knowing or something?  You didn't need to read the topic to reply to it?  You just knew what it said?

Chris,

We've missd you, but considering that beautiful image, it was worth the wait.

That is an absolutely stunning photo.  Any railfan should be thrilled to either send it or receive it on a card.

11 out of 10 for that one!

You captured my very thoughts on the issue.  Thanks.

Your picture looks so real as to be almost unreal.  The house in the upper left reminds us it's not a painting.

Thanks for sharing the photo.  And thanks for my avatar photo.

The feeling is very much mutual, Chris.  Awesome shot as always- and I'm printing it out to put with my snail-mail cards.

Chris!

I was wondering where you were!  Did you make it this way for Thanksgiving?  I was about to send out a bulletin:  "Calling all (cop) cars!"

That is a perfect Christmas-card setting, perfectly executed!

Hope your travels will still bring you this way over the holidays.  I'm in pretty good shape for time off toward the end of the year.

Thank you all for the very nice comments and warm holiday wishes!

Carl - I was in town for Thanksgiving, but my schedule didn't allow much free time. This trip is looking much better in that respect. I get on board #6 on Thursday evening, and will be around until Jan 4. I'll be in touch once I get back there.
