Amtrak Tehachapi detours heads up

 Amtrak is detouring several trains over Tehachapi in the next few days. I'll be there tomarow and hopefully will catch one or both Wink.

Service Alert: Coast Starlight Trains 11 and 14 Will Not Stop at Stations between Los Angeles and Sacramento on November 8, 10, 12 and 14

Due to track work being performed by Union Pacific Railroad, Trains 11 and 14 will operate on an alternate route between Los Angeles and Sacramento and will not stop at the following stations on November 8, 10, 12 and 14.

Van Nuys, Simi Valley, Oxnard, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Salinas, San Jose, Oakland, Emeryville, Martinez and Davis

This temporary change affects Train 11 originating in Seattle on November 7, 9, 11 and 13. Alternate train or Thruway Motorcoach service is available at most of these destinations. Contact Amtrak for reservations and schedule information.

Train 11 — Earlier Arrival at Los Angeles

  • Southbound Train 11 will arrive in Los Angeles at 6:10 p.m., approximately three hours earlier than the time shown in the published schedule. Contact Amtrak for up-to-date arrival times.

Train 14 — Earlier Arrival at Sacramento

  • Northbound Train 14 will arrive in Sacramento at 9:30 pm, approximately two-and-a-half hours earlier than the time shown in the published schedule. Contact Amtrak for up-to-date arrival times.
  • Train 14 will depart Sacramento on schedule at 11:59 p.m.
