Willingdon Junction in Burnaby, B.C.
Posted by Doc Murdock on Thursday, November 6, 2008 11:12 AM

Over the years I've watched many trains at this location even before the overpass was there. I saw my first train here back in the early sixties when it was a level crossing.

Since I haven't been at the Willingdon Junction in 13 years due to moving east at that time, I was wondering if anyone has any recent photos of this spot. I was wondering just how much it has changed since I've been down there.

Thanks.

Not much has changed Doc, except for the signal bridges being replaced.

Last time I was there was in April 1995. There used to be a scrap yard between the McDonalds and the rail tracks. It was up for sale as prime industrial land at that time. I was just wondering if anything came of it. Inquiring minds want to know.

The scrap yard is gone, that whole area is being redeveloped.
