Thanks to gas prices dropping considerably over the last several weeks, I decided it would be affordable family fun to grab the kids and the video gear and head out for a railfanning "road trip" to the hills of north Georgia. We headed out of Atlanta up the CSX W&A sub for a ways then came back into town along the NS Atlanta North District. What a blast! Lots of trains, great fall foliage, and just an overall good time getting away from the hose for a while. I will say this, after not shooting much video over the last nine months due to $80 tanks of gas, I was surprsed how rusty my camera skills have become! I suppose practice does make perfect. But the kids made for great directors in helping setup the right camera shots and angles . Anyway, here are the results of our trip:
